You can sign up, using the website or the app, to find items, shop and deliver them to your customers.

Download the Shopper app from the App Store or the Google Play Store. Complete the signup process and get your background check started. If you are cleared, you will be approved. You can then sign on to shop and make money on your own schedule.

Reliancecart provides estimates for your earnings on every order, as well as total earnings on a weekly basis. The amount you earn per batch of orders depends on the number of items, type of items, driving distance and efforts involved in shipping or delivery. You keep 100% of customer tips, if there is any. You also get the opportunities to earn extra through promotions that you do for Reliancecart. It must be noted that, as independent contractors, shoppers have the flexibility to work as little or as often as they want. This means that the total potential earnings largely depend on the individual.

To become a Shopper, you must be, at least, 18 years of age, have legal authorization to work in Canada, be able to lift up to 40lbs, without any mechanical support, have regular access to a reliable car and a smartphone capable of running the Reliance shopping App. You must also pass the background check.

The first thing you will need to be readily available is your contact information (the details on your driver’s license should cover this step). You will also need to have your social security number at hand. The sign-up process will also ask you to set up a direct deposit, so you can get paid. For this reason, you will need your banking information to complete the step.

Background checks normally process within 10 business days, but sometimes it can process much faster. Due to high volumes and temporary court closures, delays are possible

As a Shopper, you do not pay for your groceries by yourself. You will get a payment card from Reliancecart which will be used at the checkout register, in every store you shop from. Getting a payment card is simple. New shoppers usually receive their payment card in the mail, 5 to 7 business days after completing the sign-up process.
